Reports were received from pastors in attendance about the progress in growth of souls saved and in church attendance at many of the Southern District churches.
Iain McGill spoke about the progress of the church plant at Casey in Melbourne’s south-east. After much prayer and consideration Iain and Sonia uprooted and moved their family of seven from Mary Valley in Queensland to start this new church in Melbourne’s growth corridor. They are excited by the prospects and encouraged by the support they’ve been shown by families who have planned to join them in this missional work.
The work of Helen Finau as the Director of Southern District Wesleyan Women for several years was acknowledged and applauded by the conference.
The actions of the District Board of Ministerial Development were present by Ale Alefosio. The DBMD met three times throughout this conference year.
